Review of Mesquite Bean Flour 7oz

The Mesquite flour worked VERYWELL. It was one of the best ribs I've ever had.

Product Description
Our USDA Organic, Kosher mesquite flour is made from the beans of trees from Argentina and Peru, and is a versatile ingredient that will add flavor and aroma to surprisingly different types of gluten free and non-gluten free products. The mild cinnamon/coconut/chocolate type aroma and flavor can be achieved by using about 2 rounded tablespoons per cup of dry ingredients. This requires a slight increase in liquid to the mixture (often milk). Mesquite is an excellent source of dietary fiber. In her new book, Super Natural Cooking, Heidi Swanson described mesquite flour as "absolutely delicious, with a scent that is both warm and comforting but with much less edge than a cinnamon or even canela. When heated it permeates the kitchen with a mellow sweet fragrance that is unlike anything else". --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Review of Pistachio Triple Crate

It's always hard to know how good food items will be over the internet, but these pistachios were outstanding. They were nicely salted, but not overly done, and they were roasted perfectly. The color was nice and green in almost every case, and there were very few inedible ones. These are about as high quality as any other type I've had.I highly recommend them.

Product Description
Roasted/salted pistachios fill a classic Casa de Fruta wooden crate.

Review of Casa de Fruta Fresh Garlic

Forget the old garlic you've been getting at the supermarket.

That garlic comes from Mexico or China... and is dried out and old.

When you order Casa de Fruta garlic, you get moist gloves with rich garlic aroma.

In fact after I went to bed, My husband made some garlic butter for some bread; so much for sneaking a snack...

I could smell it in our bedroom...!

Review of The Pepper Plant Chunky Garlic Hot Pepper Sauce

The Previous reviews sums up the quality taste of this product.I found this product almost 20 years ago at a diner in Pismo Beach. At the time the Pepper Plant was a local (Atascadero) mom & pop operation and couldn't be found south of Santa Barbara or north of San Luis Obispo.I was living an hour north of San Francisco and was fortunate enough to purchase the sauce at the diner,I purchased 4 bottles and hit that diner about every 6 months for years. The company was purchased by a larger gourmet foods manufacturer in Gilroy and didn't change a thing. If anything it was a benefit for the product as it is now in the heart of where the ingredients are grown.I was able to get my local Whole Foods to carry Pepper Plant and another store across town.I have noticed that people are discovering the fantastic flavor of a California original and hope more people discover the best pepper sauce in the west. The bar-b-que sauce is excellent too. Cheers!
