Review of Spanish Marcona Almonds - Raw

Spanish Marcona Almonds - RawThough I haven't purchased this specific item from Amazon, I can say that the Marcona almonds I get from my local health/gourmet food store are, in fact, wonderful. Buttery and rich flavor accented with a sprinkle of sea salt and a satisfying crunch, I am not sure if I can ever go back to eating the standard almond. I recommend these served with a fruit and cheese plate, crushed and served with salad, or mixed with honey and served over a small scoop of organic goat's milk ice cream. Yum.

Product Description
One of our two unique Spanish almonds, Marconas are really large, with tons of nutty, milky flavor to go with it, thanks to a higher fat content. The Marcona almond is used predominantly in pastries and baked goods. They are quite famous around the world and very different than almonds here in America - both in flavor and shape. Grown in the Mediterranean coast of Spain - from Malaga to Tarragona, the Marcona is easily recognizable by it's unique light brown, almost holey shell. Try a concocting a Marcona almond nougat and tell us how it went. Produced by Mitica, Spain.
