Review of Ocumare - Artisan Dark Chocolate Bar

I came across the Chocolate made with Ocumare chocolate at Trader Joe's.Since TJ no longer carries it, I had to look for another chocolate that uses the same beans. There is a huge difference in buying chocolate made with Ocumare, especially when you're talking dark chocolate. The Amano Artisan Chocolate, made with Ocumare, is a bit of heaven!I'm only giving it 4 stars for the price. It's a small bar for the price... but then it's an artisan chocolate.Maybe that will keep my chocolate lust under control...or not...

Product Description
Here is an incredible chocolate made right from the cocoa bean by one of America's only artisanal chocolate makers. Concentrating on flavor and quality, Amano Artisan Chocolate is proud to deliver this chocolate made only with beans from the Ocumare De La Coasta valley in Venezuela. Once almost totally inaccessible, the Ocumre region has been known for its superior criollo cacao since at least the early 1700's. Amano Artisan Chocolate hand selected these beans for their fruity and floral notes that pair well with the rich chocolate flavor. The beans were then carefully roasted in Amano's antique cocoa bean roaster to enhance their optimal flavor. With 70% cocoa content, there is just enough sugar added to bring out and enhance the Ocumare beans natural flavor, this is a well rounded chocolate with complex fruity flavor notes. These are some of the finest cocoa beans Amano Artisan Chocolate has discovered and from which this chocolate is made -- a chocolate you are sure to enjoy.* Of Special Note * Amano Artisan Chocolate's chocolate is hand crafted in small artisanal batches to make the highest quality chocolate possible. The beans are carefully selected, roasted, winnowed, refined and conched on vintage equipment in order to create an absolutely incredible chocolate.
