Review of Biermann Marzipan 5 LB. Block

I bought this block of marzipan to make roses for my daughter's wedding cake in September. Came out beautifully!! I kept the rest for my sisters and I to wrap our traditional English Christmas fruitcakes. Well....not quite enough of the marzipan made it to the Thanksgiving weekend when the cakes were made. Instead,we decided to eat the rest with a spoon (actually, I was digging chunks out with a butter knife between September and Thanksgiving!) This is the real deal and you won't find a better price.

Review of Biermann Marzipan 10 lb. Block

I bought this to make Christmas candies and cakes. It arrived well packaged and was very fresh. You couldn't ask for a better deal on a very good quality marzipan. The only downside is that nobody in the house can stop eating it (before it's used for the intended purpose)!!!

Review of Bulk Marzipan 2lbs. 72 pcs.

I ordered this marzipan last Christmas, amazed by the great deal that I had found.

Unfortunately, the old addage is true:you get what you pay for.

This marzipan is made with corn syrup instead of sugar, has a low almond content, and is flavored with a hint of citrus that masks any almond flavor whatsoever.I may as well have been eating lemon-scented glue sticks.

Even more interesting is that I froze the unused marzipan in the same bag with a 'better' variety.Within three months this marzipan had taken on a freezer taste, whereas the higher grade marzipan still tastes great even one year later. They were both in the same bag together, so it can only be the ingredients themselves that didn't hold up.

I will never buy cheap marzipan again, and I have thrown out the bulk marzipan that I purchased from this company.
