Really delicious but impossible to remove paper from back of panforte.I ate the paper, but I would rather have not.

I know tastes can be very particular and something that I savor may not be the same for another person, but I do enjoy drinking espresso and have tried many coffees, some are either too weak or too strong (very bitter). Review of Lapsang Souchong Whole Leaf Loose Black Tea

Lapsang Souchong tea comes from the mist-enshrouded Wuyi Mountains in the northwestern corner of China's Fujian Province (north of Guangdong [Canton] Province), whose greatest tourist draw besides its mountains is its coast line on the Taiwan Straits.

This tea has an unmistakeably smokey note, which for years made it a particular favorite with the "single malt and cigars" crowd of English clubs and drawing rooms. That aroma is created during the tea's smoking process, which involves the withering of the tea leaves in bamboo baskets hung on racks over cypress or pine wood fires, after they have been rolled and placed into wooden barrels until they emit their own aroma. The finished tea leaves are characteristically thick and black. Legend has it that this smoking process was discovered by accident during the Quing Dynasty (1644 - 1911), when an army unit camping out in a tea factory interrupted the processing of the recently-arrived leaves and the workers then resulted to drying the leaves over pine fires to make up for the disruption and get to the market in time, creating an instant sensation there.

Because of its potent aroma, Lapsang Souchong should not steep very long. The rule of thumb is that the paler its color, the more likely you'll truly enjoy it.

If you have ever dreamt of a Anise flavored lollipop, your wish has been granted. The Sambuca After-Dinner Lollipop is subtly spicy and delicious. The Crème-De-Menthe provides a refreshing flavor, while the Orange Liqueur, Coffee Liqueur (tastes like caramel coffee with hints of pumpkin pie spice) and Irish Crème are slightly more subtle.

Sherry turned out to be the most exotic of the flavors with a slightly spicy strawberry flavor. As you enjoy each lollipop the flavors seem to intensify slightly. This box also contains Pina Colada and Amaretto.

Since these lollipops are made for grownup tastes, I think they could make the Irish Creme flavor just slightly stronger.

These looked great online, but I was disappointed that I couldn't find a product label ... even when I found "Emily's" website. Since they were listed as "gourmet," I was hoping for premium ingredients. While not as bad as some, they do include natural flavors and corn syrup, for instance.

I'm certainly not a curry expert, but I know what I like...And good curry is hard to find. It's either too sweet, too watery, too this, too that. "Classic Curry" from Spicy Nothings is perfect - the consistency, the taste, the spices, etc. Whenever my wife and I wanted good chicken curry, we'd end up driving 20 minutes and spending $30 at a nearby Indian restaurant...With this, however, cut up some chicken, cook it in a pan, add a bottle of "Classic Curry," let it simmer for 5 minutes, and you not only get a BETTER meal (and healthier), but you can easily feed 2-3 people for $10. I have not personally purchaced conch meat from this supplier, however, I would defanantly reccomend it to anyone who enjoys seafood. I had conch twice while on a trip to Port-au-Prince, Haiti. It was the most delicious sea creature I've ever eaten! I had it fried, and scampied in a pasta and there isn't a scallop or lobster out there that could trump conch's succulent, moist, meaty goodness. In fact, ever since I had it I've wanted more, but I haven't had the chance. I would buy some of this, but I didn't realize how much it cost...

This olive oil is by far the best I've ever tasted.It's a bit cstly like most really good olive oils are but this is so worth the money!You will not be disappointed.The flavor is amazing, I do not use it to cook with, it's too good for the, it's great on bread or in salad.I promise if you like olive oil you will LOVE this one.

Finally! an emergency jarred sauce that's authentically italian. Open the jar and the olive oil is marbled in the top, just like your very own leftovers. The marinara is the best and you can see the fresh basil chunks inside.The vodka sauce is a good second and is great for penne and casseroles. Worth every penny. I heat a jar in a pan and cook my meatballs right in it. Make the pasta while it simmers. Dinner in less than 30 minutes!

Review of 1980s Classic Candy Gift Box

The candy in this box is overflowing!I bought it for my sister for one of her presents on Christmas and peaked inside a tiny early.They put in so much candy and all the favorites too.Nerds, Lemonheads, Jaw Breakers; I even found one of those waxed lips inside!I remember all of these and there are sooooo many more.They were very generous with the amount of candy too.I was pleasantly surprised to find that it really is very very full and there is tons of candy inside, filled to the rim.Definitely worth the 24 bucks we paid for it.Only problem I see was they had a black box with a gold bow (PERFECT for BIRTHDAYS, just maybe not very seasonal for Christmas.)But I certainly would never allow that to stop a five star rating from all this delicious gooey goodness that we found inside.Oh my God, you will like totally think it is soooooo gnarly!;)Perfect!

Review of Bulk Marzipan 2lbs. 72 pcs.

I ordered this marzipan last Christmas, amazed by the great deal that I had found.

Unfortunately, the old addage is true:you get what you pay for.

This marzipan is made with corn syrup instead of sugar, has a low almond content, and is flavored with a hint of citrus that masks any almond flavor whatsoever.I may as well have been eating lemon-scented glue sticks.

Even more interesting is that I froze the unused marzipan in the same bag with a 'better' variety.Within three months this marzipan had taken on a freezer taste, whereas the higher grade marzipan still tastes great even one year later.They were both in the same bag together, so it can only be the ingredients themselves that didn't hold up.

I will never buy cheap marzipan again, and I have thrown out the bulk marzipan that I purchased from this company.

Review of Melissa's Fresh Key Limes, (5 lb)

Fresh limes are underappreciated, but a joy to have in the kitchen.A few squirts of lime juice into water makes a wonderful and healthy alternative to carbonated beverages (and without sugar!).

Additionally, they're essential for doing salsa right.

1/4 C Lime juice (from 4 limes)
10 small tomatillos, husks removed and washed (ASIN B0000TL6DG)
2-3 Chipotles, seeds removed (ASIN B0000EIDSR)
1 C cilantro, roughly chopped
8 small Tomatoes
1 small onion (optional)
Salt to taste

Cook tomatillos, tomatoes and onion: place on cookie sheet and broil at 500 degrees. The tomatoes will come out in about 10 minutes, the tomatillos and onion 15-20 minutes. Let cool, then puree the tomatillos in a blender with the lime juice, boullion garlic and the chipotles. Add half the cilantro, and whirl just a little bit. Add remaining ingredients. Let stand for about 30 minutes then serve at room temperature.

Tootsie rolls were stale.The suckers were fine, but the Tootsie rolls (the little ones) were hard and stale.There are big rolls in there too, I have not had them yet, but I pushed on them though the package and they seem fine.The stale ones taste just fine, so it is not bad, just when you first bite down there is a crunch.
There are 2 very large ones, 2 others that are just large, a couple hand fulls of the small ones and a lot of suckers.So it is very nice.It is packed well and sealed great.

I spent some time in Italy this past Summer (Tuscany) where I rented a villa and had the occasion to cook several times.Not only was the product convenient and reduce waste with it's recloseable tube,the product itself was incredible.It was not acidic and really added incredible tomato flavor and richness to the dishes I prepared. I actually brought several tubes home with me.You can find other brands in US specialty food shops packaged this same way but I have yet to find one that is comparable in taste.
