Review of Original Howard's Violet Mints 24 pk.

C. Howard Company has been around since 1934, when Mr. Howard formed it in New York City to sell his violet mints. Actually, due to the quirky way he wrote his signs, it has been "Choward Violet Mints" ever since then!

Violets are very hard to describe. They have a wonderful, perfumed scent that makes you think that they will taste like some sort of chemical, but nothing can be further from the truth. These candies have a delicate taste that clears the mouth and freshens the breath.

When I was young, a local drug store carried a wide range of candies, including Violets (at least that's what I called them). Whenever I could I would go and buy a pack, and to this day the taste of Violets takes me back to my youth and that drug store with the giant racks of candy.

So, if you want a candy that tastes like NOTHING you've ever had before, then buy these candies. They are fantastic!

Review of 1980's Father's Day Retro Candy Gift Box

I bought this for my brother for his birthday. We were both raised in the 80's and he called me as soon as he received it (which told me he was really impressed). He loved it.We talked about the candy included and how we would hide the candy from our parents. They particularly did not like the candy cigarettes that we loved. He said it included all of his favorites from the 80's, apple heads, pixy sticks, jaw breakers, pop rocks, Mike and Ikes, etc. He can be a little hard to shop for and this one was a hit.

The shipping charge was a little extreme so be prepared to pay quite a bit for shipping, but my brother's response was worth it.

I bought this to take on a trip with friends who had grown up in 3 different decades. The box was nice enough to present as a gift. The candy was a huge hit. Review of Holiday Nostalgic Candy Gift Box

For a few years in a row, I've purchased candy from this company through amazon.com for the holidays, and I have NEVER been let down.

I have used these gift boxes as Christmas presents, but they are also good for birthdays and other events. Who doesn't like Candy after all?

Review of 1980s Classic Candy Gift Box

The candy in this box is overflowing!I bought it for my sister for one of her presents on Christmas and peaked inside a tiny early. They put in so much candy and all the favorites too.Nerds, Lemonheads, Jaw Breakers; I even found one of those waxed lips inside!I remember all of these and there are sooooo many more. They were very generous with the amount of candy too.I was pleasantly surprised to find that it really is very very full and there is tons of candy inside, filled to the rim.Definitely worth the 24 bucks we paid for it.Only problem I see was they had a black box with a gold bow (PERFECT for BIRTHDAYS, just maybe not very seasonal for Christmas.)But I certainly would never allow that to stop a five star rating from all this delicious gooey goodness that we found inside.Oh my God, you will like totally think it is soooooo gnarly!;)Perfect!

Review of Tootsie Roll Metal Lunch Box Gift Assortment

Tootsie rolls were stale. The suckers were fine, but the Tootsie rolls (the little ones) were hard and stale. There are big rolls in there too, I have not had them yet, but I pushed on them though the package and they seem fine. The stale ones taste just fine, so it is not bad, just when you first bite down there is a crunch.
There are 2 very large ones, 2 others that are just large, a couple hand fulls of the small ones and a lot of suckers. So it is very nice.It is packed well and sealed great.
