When I told my wife I had been searching for Pickled Green Tomatoes she asked if I had lost my mind and said "YUCK". I explained that I had some years ago and loved them. I bought the Jake&Amos 3 pack, chilled them and talked her into trying one. Since then I've only had a couple. Now I'm having to order more. If you like Pickles, you will love these. Five stars, now please rush my new order because every one else has eaten all my Pickled Green Tomatoes.

We love lime pickles and no one seems to make them any more.I went on a search just to see what would come up.I couldn't believe it when this product appeared.I decided to try them and sure enough, they are just like the ones I loved as a child.Great product.Thanks.

The Lime used in the process of preserving these pickles is a food grade version of what was used for making white-wash, plaster, and spreading on the fields. The Pennsylvania Dutch Country still has many of the old lime kilns dotting our countryside, although most of them have not been used for nearly 100 years. Our forefathers probably didn t know all the scientific reasons why this was an excellent way of making and keeping pickles, they just knew that it worked and that they taste great. I have to first say I've never tried a Jake and Amos product that wasn't top quality, and I've tried alot!This is one of my favorites, and if you like marinated mushrooms, try these!They are larger than other brands I've tried, and have a nice texture.There's a nice mix of spices, and no fat or cholesterol, so chomp away without guilt!You won't be disappointed in this Pennsylvania Dutch treat.

Review of Pickled Sweet Brussels Sprouts 3 jars: Jake and Amos

I am lucky enough to be able to get to the Lancaster, PA area once or twice a year.Jake and Amos is one of the brands I always purchase. They have so many delicious, jarred items I could write reviews for days!But this is my favorite, so I thought I would concentrate on this one. They have a sweet and sour flavor that is addicting.I may have never purchased them had I not received a sample at a farmer's market!But they taste amazing, and even the sprout haters in my family like these. They have no fat or cholesterol, either.And there is no preparation, when you want to serve them, just open the jar and put them out!I like to serve them as a side dish with pork or as an alternative to cole slaw.
