I first picked this tea up in Paris at the Bon Marche department store food halls (Le Grand Epicerie de Paris).On returning to the states and trying the tea I was most impressed.Redolent of bergamot and flowers it has an intense aroma and flavor that is well-enhanced with the addition of honey and a little milk. It is now my favorite tea.Enjoy!

Review of Old Cavendish Fruitcake

I did not purchase this size fruitcake, but bought a rather larger one (40 oz) from old cavendish that came in a tin. My mom used to make fruitcake; I always thought that I should like it--I love most of the ingredients--but I couldn't get past that nasty candied fruit. The description of this fruitcake, which features unsulfured natural dried fruits and LOTS of nuts, intrigued me. I bought one--and we began 'fighting' over the fruitcake. It was amazingly good, the best either of us had ever tasted (and he loves fruitcake). In an effort for each of us to be thoughtful, we each 'saved' the last piece for the other. As a result, the last piece stayed in the back of the fridge for more than a year--when either of us cleaned out the fridge, we put it back in for the other to consume. Finally, realizing that a year and a half had gone by, we resolved that the next one to take it out would dispose of it; I suggested checking it first as fruitcakes are famous for their 'keeping' qualities. He did so--AND IT WAS STILL GOOD! He said it was still very tasty and moist. The company makes these in small batches; it seems that the prior reviewer may have gotten one made on an 'off' day (we all have one now and again, don't we?) Please don't let this stop you from trying the best fruitcake ever!

Ashby's Japanese Green Tea is a distinctive, strong, great-flavored Japanese tea. Nothing wimpy or mild about it, and I'm glad, because it's so enjoyable. I made a large thermos with one tea bag, left the tea bag in, and drank it for several hours, and it never got bitter. I then made more tea with the same tea bag. The flavor is definitely Asian and I could drink cup after cup. It smells great, too.


Ashby's of London writes this about Japanese Green Tea: "From Japan, this pan-fired tea is lightly rolled and dried over a fire in a large flat bottom pan. This tea contains the desirable "Polyphenols" that have been reported to be a cancer fighting substance. It has a very light, fresh taste and produces a transparent greenish colored brew." I agree, but please note that the tea is distinctively flavored, not mild (which I really like) and delivers a wonderful tea experience.

I highly recommend it, and if you enjoy Asian teas, or want a true green tea, you'll not go wrong here.

I first fell in love with the Leonidas chocolates while in Belgium and now I finally found them online. If I was in New York, you would probably find me at the Manon Cafe in the winter sipping hot chocolates. In the summer, I'd be at the Leonidas' store buying gourmet chocolates. I never tried the gourmet food section before. I wandered in here recently on a long shopping trip through the Amazon.com website.

I thought these truffles looked to good to be true for the price and decided to try a small quantity, the half pound box.

Delivery was very fast for standard shipping, ordered Saturday and they arrived today (Wednesday).

There are 8 truffles in the half pound package. Yummy truffle fudge surrounded by terrific hard chocolate. If you like chocolate, you'll be satisfied. My four daughters and wife confirm that these are among the better truffles that they have had.

I was not disapointed and expect to be sending more of these to my friends and family.

Review of Scott's Cakes 1 lb. Dark Chocolate Coconut Cluster in a Heart Box

I bought these chocolates because my gf loves dark chocolate and coconut. When I saw this product, I thought it would be the perfect fit for a Valentine's Day gift. I'd read some reviews about some of Scott's Cakes' other chocolates being too hard to chew so I was a little hesitant, but decided to try these anyway.

I think some people have the wrong expectations about chocolate coming through the mail. It seems like these people want something warm and chewy, but that's not going to work unless you're a fan of melted chocolate. These things are in transit for a few days, of course they're going to be a *little* tough.

And that's what these chocolates were: a little tough. Not even close to a jawbreaker. Probably not even tougher than chewable airheads. However they were absolutely delicious! I was expecting to get a jawbreaker and instead I got a chocolate that was extremely tasty and felt like it was firm enough to withstand being in transit for a few days. I liked them even more than my gf did!

Don't be discouraged by what some reviewers are saying, just try it yourself and remember to keep some reasonable expectations.

Review of Scott's Cakes Cocoa Covered Dark Chocolate Truffles 4 Pack Box

Ordered these for Valentine's Days plans which never panned out, so I had them all to myself, and I think I got the better end of the deal.

They were sent rather promptly, and arrived quickly. The packaging was intact, and there was only a slight dent on the top of the truffles from the packaging, but they were not some ball of gooey dough or anything.

As for size, they're slightly smaller than a golfball, so be sure to have a sweet tooth before you order. Taste-wise, they're rather good. The cocoa is not overwhelming, and you can certainly taste the chocolate underneath. There's also enough of each truffle to give you a satisfying feel after eating one, as opposed to some of the smaller packaged truffles where you eat a dozen and only then realize half the box is gone, one of these at a time will do.

The only real Con I can think of, is that I still tasted a bit of whichever oil they used to sure up the truffle (safflower, coconut, etc.), and it slightly took away from the chocolaty taste.

However, don't let that stop you too much. They were plenty chocolaty, and I mean chocolaty, not loaded with sugar.

For the price I ordered them at (around $3 I believe), they were a great little treat, and I've been remiss about letting the review go so long.

If you have a few spare bucks to spoil yourself and don't mind waiting for shipping, grab these, or order the bigger pack. You won't be disappointed unless you're looking for the absolute top-quality truffles (in which case, you'll be spending ten times the amount).

Anyone who is not familiar with Red Buffalo, who finds themselves drooling over the flavors available, but wondering if they can trust the brand... Don't think twice. Just get it. If you're going to waste an obscene amount of money to buy gourmet coffee (and believe me, tasting this coffee may well lead to that), this would be the brand. They've got all kinds of flavors, and over the course of the few years I worked in an office, I tried as many of them as I could afford. Review of Leonidas Belgian Chocolates: Signature Napoltains

I first fell in love with the Leonidas chocolates while in Belgium and now I finally found them online. If I was in New York, you would probably find me at the Manon Café in the winter sipping hot chocolates. In the summer, I'd be at the Leonidas' store buying gourmet chocolates. After savoring chocolates in Europe, Africa and America - these are the best chocolates I have ever tasted.

The crunchy chocolate squares were a real surprise and I love how delicate the crunch is when encased in a burst of delicious chocolate.

Once your mouth is warmed, take a small bite of the chocolate square and enter Mint Chocolate Oblivion. The world stops for minutes at a time as you savor a mingling of the best cinnamon you have ever tasted with the silkiest creamiest Belgian chocolate in the world.

This is the best mustard I have ever had.I have tried others from this company and all are good.It's especially good with pork.Hard to find in stores so I have to buy it online now.Just delicious.I hate to say it but I could almost eat it out of the jar alone.
