Review of La Piana Golden Seal Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, 3.4 Fluid Ounces

I purchased this product at a little shop in Venice last year. I had been looking everywhere for a "traditional" bottle. This is simply heaven over ice cream or cheese. I use this for very special occasions and it has never disappointed.

The packaging includes some very nice recipes and other serving suggestions.

Product Description
La Piana Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena has won the right to be called "Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena" after being judged by the Consorzio Produttori and tasted at least 5 times. It is aged over 25 years and thus is usually used one drop at a time.

Review of La Piana 5 Years Aged Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, 8.4 Fl Oz

As usual, the service is prompt ,package well packed ,the quality outstanding.........

Product Description
The older the balsamic, the greater the depth and richness of flavor. This balsamic is made from the juice of Trebbiano and Lambrusco grapes that are only cultivated surrounding Modena, Italy. The must is cooked slowly and then develops character by aging in wooden casks. The result over time is a dense, sweet, and pleasantly acidic balsamic with intense flavor.

Review of La Piana Raspberry Balsamic Vinegar, 8.4 Fluid Ounces

My husband is always asking me to make him sandwiches with sliced roast beef from the deli (which our cats also seem to be wild about) and I have found interesting ways to make the sandwiches with various mustards, etc. Our recent favorite is to use a hearty bread, champagne mustard, lettuce, pickles, sliced green bell peppers, freshly ground Tellicherry peppercorns and this delicious raspberry balsamic vinegar.

Sometimes we add various cheeses, like cheddar. By using this vinegar it takes a sandwich from ordinary to gourmet. If you sprinkle the vinegar on the lettuce, that seems to work best and the combination of this vinegar and freshly ground peppercorns can also take salads to new interesting levels of flavor. A little olive oil is also a good way to make the sandwiches even healthier and I find we don't miss the mayonnaise at all.

I'm looking forward to trying this in more recipes and this
is a vinegar I will keep buying! The bottle also looks pretty
on the counter.

Review of La Piana Mezzaluna with Pesto Filling, 1 Pound

A local winery sold this pasta for quite a bit more than it is sold here for. I decided to try it.... Everyone in my family of five LOVED it... my 7 year old daughter and I argued over who got it for breakfast the next morning. It was that good. The best pasta I have ever had (I am 40 and love my pasta). It is better than any resturant's pasta..... I highly recommend it and am buying a case! :)

Review of La Piana 20 Years Aged Balsamic Vinegar, 8.4 Fl Oz

I purchased this La Piana Balsamic Vinegar for a fabulous French foodie-friend with a fiendish obsession for balsamic vinegar. Now, I should tell you that, having grown up in Provence, my friend has impeccable taste and an extremely refined palette.Since I have never tasted this brand of balsamic vinegar, I was a little nervous to order it.

No worries.

My friend is crazy about La Piana. She tells me she is using it on everything - even ice cream. She has declared this the best vinegar she has ever tasted.

Note, The Balsamic Vinegar Cookbook by Meesha Halm is a great cookbook that offers tons of recipes.I purchased this for my friend as well and she raves about it.Here's a link:
