Review of Gingerbread Spice Mustard Fallot French Dijon (moutarde au pain d'Epices) 7oz jar

Gingerbread Spice Mustard Fallot French Dijon (moutarde au pain d'Epices) 7oz jarWhile they have a few mustards to choose from I picked this one solely as a dare, to the Fallot people, to disappoint me.I've had their Dijon and their Dijon with Peppercorn so I knew that they knew what they were doing. When I saw the Gingerbread variant I figured it was the LEAST appealing. For me that is always a sign of a way to expand my horizons so I went for it.It is excellent. The more detailed ingredients include wheat and spices. It's not the gingerbread taste I was expecting, which is a good thing. It is dijon with a very unique zip to it.I put it on ham with a whole grain wheat bread.I prefer high tech ingredients like Boar's Head rosemary & sundried tomato ham but it's too delicate for this particular mustard so just use a basic high quality meat.Serve it to yourself though, unless you know someone who is a total "foodie."I paired it(LOL) with a French beverage in the form of a Citadelle gin martini.Look to the French for food and art and you won't be disappointed,

Review of Gunpowder Green Loose Tea

Gunpowder tea is green tea, most of which comes from a city named Pingshui in the Eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang, south of the Yangtse River Delta, where it has been cultivated for centuries and is known as the "green pearl" of tea. Pingshui tea market records date as far back as the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 907). The area's gunpowder tea was an important tribute traditionally given to the Chinese emperors; and with the growing trade volume between China and the West it also acquired an increasing number of lovers in Europe. Particularly during the second half of the 19th century, when gunpowder tea export reached its peak, its price on the London market was second only to then-popular Wu Yi Oolong (also from China). Even today, Zhejiang Province still proudly calls itself "home of silk and tea" for its two primary natural products.

The name "gunpowder" derives from the tea's elaborate method of processing, which traditionally lasts several hours and during which the tea leaves are withered, steamed or stir-fried and individually rolled into small pellets. Early foreign traders mistook these pellets for gunpowder or gunshot.

Gunpowder tea has a delicate aroma with a slightly smokey note. It should *always* be enjoyed without milk or cream.

Product Description
The tea is beautifully rolled into tight little pearls that resembled old fashioned gun powder. Lovely leaf. The taste is strong and clean. This highest grade gunpowder tea is also known as Temple of Heaven Green Tea.

Review of Rooibos Herbal Loose Tea

Rooibos is Afrikaans for "red bush." Grown in South Africa's Cederburg Mountains and harvested during the summer, this tea acquires its unique red color as a result of fermentation (in mounds) and oxidization, when it is spread out to dry in the sunlight; naturally it is green.

Rooibos is known for its health benefits stemming from its rich content in vitamins, antioxidants, flavanoids and minerals (inter alia, magnesium, calcium, iron, copper, zinc, potassium, fluoride, manganese and alpha-hydroxy) and has a long tradition of medicinal use among the local Native population; among other things, it is known to help cure asthma, hay fever and other allergies, acne, eczema, colics, indigestion, insomnia, and nervous tension. Containing very few tannins and no caffeine, rooibos has a distinctive aroma and amber color.

You can either have this tea pure, or blend it with spices: my favorite creation is a delicious blend sold by my local tea store, which features orange peel, cinnamon, grated coconut, finely minced chili and red pepper; but any blend containing these ingredients and/or honey, cardamom, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, star anise, hibiscus, rosemary, lemon myrtle, lemon verbena or lemon balm will work extremely well. Enjoy!

Product Description
Highest Quality Leaf. Grown in the wild and regions of South Africa, this herb is surprisingly healthful as well as delicious. Loaded with minerals & vitamins!
