Review of Gingerbread Spice Mustard Fallot French Dijon (moutarde au pain d'Epices) 7oz jar

Gingerbread Spice Mustard Fallot French Dijon (moutarde au pain d'Epices) 7oz jarWhile they have a few mustards to choose from I picked this one solely as a dare, to the Fallot people, to disappoint me.I've had their Dijon and their Dijon with Peppercorn so I knew that they knew what they were doing. When I saw the Gingerbread variant I figured it was the LEAST appealing. For me that is always a sign of a way to expand my horizons so I went for it.It is excellent. The more detailed ingredients include wheat and spices. It's not the gingerbread taste I was expecting, which is a good thing. It is dijon with a very unique zip to it.I put it on ham with a whole grain wheat bread.I prefer high tech ingredients like Boar's Head rosemary & sundried tomato ham but it's too delicate for this particular mustard so just use a basic high quality meat.Serve it to yourself though, unless you know someone who is a total "foodie."I paired it(LOL) with a French beverage in the form of a Citadelle gin martini.Look to the French for food and art and you won't be disappointed,

Product Description
The Fallot family has enjoyed a worldwide reputation for exceptional quality, since 1840. The Mustards are made in Beaune, France near Dijon, where seeds are selected for their high quality and are then ground in a traditional stone mill. Fabulous on omelets or chicken, a French mustard flavored with Gingerbread spice, 7 oz.

Review of Rose Flower ~ Monteux original Rose flower water French import 9 cl 3 fl oz ~ Single, or more

Rose Flower ~ Monteux original Rose flower water French import 9 cl 3 fl oz ~ Single, or moreI'm a sucker for cute packaging, which is mainly why I purchased it (from a local grocer - they didn't seem to be too knowledgeable of their products), but I'd say it was a little over-priced for the size (here on Amazon and at the store). It's quite strong... I don't believe it's food-grade (rosewater is a must-have for Persian desserts). Because of its strong concentration, I would not recommend spritzing this on your face, either. I'd stick to just using this as a perfume, and use Cortas or some other brand for cooking/facial toner.

Product Description
Both the orange flower water nd rose water are made near Grasse, the capital of French perfumes and scents. Chocolate mousse, crêpes, gâteau Breton, madeleines, the celebrated bugnes lyonnaises, ices, creams and more, call for Rose flower water. Rose water, a staple ingredient of Middle Eastern pastries, is less common in French recipes, although it is used in sorbets and fruit compotes

Review of Classic 500 gram Pommery Mustard Meaux Moutarde in Pottery Crock

Classic 500 gram Pommery Mustard Meaux Moutarde in Pottery CrockAbsolutely delicious on a simple grilled sausage; critical in certain recipes. This product bears no resemblance to the overprocessed, over-colored, over-sugared GLOP that passes for mustard in this country; the mustard seeds are whole and fill your mouth with flavor. Subtly different from Dijon mustard, which is made with white wine, Moutarde Meaux is made with vinegar and the added tang is just sublime...No pantry should be without it, and you will never, ever go back to the yellow stuff.

Product Description
Pommery Mustard from Meaux: amazingly smooth and tasty whole-grained mustard from Meaux.Mustard from Meaux has been served at the tables of French kings since 1632 and made by the Pommery family according to a closely guarded secret recipe since 1760.
