Review of Bavaria Munich Weisswurst

Bavaria Munich WeisswurstShort and sweet...this is perfect weisswurst.

If you like weisswurst and love the soft tender sausage that is slightly sweet and perfectly seasoned, you will love this!Traditionally served for breakfast (or before noon), it is gently heated in water and served hot to the table in the water to keep it warm and moist.We break the rules and eat it anytime.Excellent with german red cabbage or sauerkraut and mashed potatoes with a brown mushroom gravy.Mmmm good!

Traditionally, this is prepared in a pot with water and a bottle of good German beer and sliced onions then gently simmered.

To make it even better, take your pot of water, German beer, sliced onions and add a handful of brown sugar, some salt, a bay leaf, 7 whole cloves, a few grates of nutmeg and a couple pinches of allspice...let the seasoned water simmer covered for @10 mins then add the weisswurst (frozen) and cover.As soon as it begins to simmer again (bubbles just starting) remove from heat and keep covered letting it steep and heat up for @5-10 more mins then serve in the pot to the table.Yum!
