Product Description
This washed single-origin coffee comes from Jinotega, Nicaragua. Robber Parker speaks of a cup quality that has a "toffee fragrance, vibrant acidity, notes of caramel and a long, sweet finish".
When I first visited Nicaragua in 1993 I can remember sitting on the banks of Lake Nicaragua watching a baseball game. The photos I took that day in Grenada are still vivid in my mind. It seemed odd that a country so challenged by an ugly civil war, funded in part with dirty US dollars, would embrace baseball, "America's pastime" with such enthusiasm.
Obviously, I was simplifying things but it struck me in such a way that a full twenty five years later I'd find myself designing a coffee with a baseball theme.
Revolución as a specific name honors the ideals that inspired many throughout the Americas but also because of a particular photo I took in San Carlos. That photo remains one of my favorites and always comes to mind when I think of the amazing people I met in Nicaragua.
