I'm from Turin (Italy) and I'm used to the real Gianduiotti.

I'm living in Texas now, so I decided to give these Gianduiotti a try.

They are not the typical Italian brand product manufactured abroad. They are the real thing, imported from Piedmont.

The shipment was perfect. At the end of July, when shipping chocolate is very difficult, the package was shipped by air and it contained a ice bag. The chocolate arrived in perfect condition. Top quality chocolate.

While Pesto Genovese is my favorite pesto for capelli d'angeli, my family and I love this pesto on crostini.In fact, it's become a staple in our house and a regular at mealtimes.

Sun dried tomatoes tend to have more "tang" than other tomatoes and this pesto will certainly give your crostini added spiciness.Don't get me wrong, you don't have to use this pesto on crostini alone.That's just our favorite way of using it.It would be great on pasta, too.

If you love tomatoes, especially sun dried tomatoes, I don't think you can go wrong with this pesto.I recommend it highly.

Review of Jacobs Kronung Ground Coffee - pack of 2

We found Jacobs Kronung coffee in 1991 when we visited our son stationed in Bitburg Germany. They don't drink coffee so we had to find coffee and visited a local grocery store. The rich green bag looked inviting. We don't speak or read German and in the States, a green bag denotes decaffeinated but we decided to give it a try anyway and were we ever happy we did. Jacobs Kronung coffee is a fine ground coffee and it took several tries to get just the right amount but it was wonderful. We loved it! (And we were hooked!)

We mailed several bags home before we left Germany and then hunted for places in the States to buy more. Once in awhile we would find Jacobs in the Air Force Commissary but it was not a given that we could find it regularly. (We did ask our son to send more from time to time as a special treat.)

We've tried several of the blends but prefer the Kronung blend. Jacob's Meisterröstung is stronger and the Night and Day is a decaf version. I was surprised when Jacobs was purchased by Kraft, which shows they know a good product too. Thanks to the Internet, Jacobs Kronung Coffee is easily found and the price here on Amazon is the cheapest I've found.

My daughter-in-law just gave us a Frieling Stainless Steel 35-Ounce French Press from Amazon and I'm going to buy the Jacobs Kronung beans because I KNOW it will make a super combination.

I used to live close to Fastachi and went there often to purchase nuts for myself as well as friends and family for holidays and house warming. They roast the nuts there in the shop. The cashews just melt in your mouth they are so fresh. The mixes they offer are awesome. I personally love the cranberry nut mix. I bought this block of marzipan to make roses for my daughter's wedding cake in September. Came out beautifully!! I kept the rest for my sisters and I to wrap our traditional English Christmas fruitcakes. Well....not quite enough of the marzipan made it to the Thanksgiving weekend when the cakes were made. Instead,we decided to eat the rest with a spoon (actually, I was digging chunks out with a butter knife between September and Thanksgiving!) This is the real deal and you won't find a better price.

These aren't really filled with actual liqueur, as they're alcohol free.It's just irish cream flavored filling.I think that needs to be made clear in the product description.Also, the consistency of the cream inside the chocolates is substantially different than actual liqueur.

Short and sweet...this is perfect weisswurst.

If you like weisswurst and love the soft tender sausage that is slightly sweet and perfectly seasoned, you will love this!Traditionally served for breakfast (or before noon), it is gently heated in water and served hot to the table in the water to keep it warm and moist.We break the rules and eat it anytime.Excellent with german red cabbage or sauerkraut and mashed potatoes with a brown mushroom gravy.Mmmm good!

Traditionally, this is prepared in a pot with water and a bottle of good German beer and sliced onions then gently simmered.

To make it even better, take your pot of water, German beer, sliced onions and add a handful of brown sugar, some salt, a bay leaf, 7 whole cloves, a few grates of nutmeg and a couple pinches of allspice...let the seasoned water simmer covered for @10 mins then add the weisswurst (frozen) and cover.As soon as it begins to simmer again (bubbles just starting) remove from heat and keep covered letting it steep and heat up for @5-10 more mins then serve in the pot to the table.Yum!

Review of Skipanon Smoked Albacore Tuna 3.75oz Can

We were visiting Astoria, Oregon and toured the Cannery Museum. They were selling mixed 6-pack boxes of Skipanon tuna, salmon and sturgeon to raise money for a memorial, so I paid the $30 figuring at least we could eat the fish. My husband and I didn't expect it to be anything more than a regular old can of tuna, but we were wrong, wrong, WRONG! This stuff is amazing! At $5 a can, I guess it should be amazing -- but I've found that it's rare to get what you pay for most times. It's the best canned tuna I've ever had -- and the salmon is to die for! If you are looking for high-end salmon or tuna for a special occasion or holiday appetizers, salad or sandwiches, splurge on this and you will not be disappointed. Neither will your guests. Chunk it up and sprinkle it lavishly on a bed of fresh lettuce and veggies for a high-protein, low-cal salad that will not leave you feeling like you are on a diet. It's not for everyday use (not on my budget, unfortunately), but for an occasional splurge, it's perfect.

I use this and other mushrooms from JR. I buy in 16oz bags and usually keep Chantrelle, porchini and black trumpet on hand. The package contains a nice selection of mushrooms and is dust free. I use the various mushrooms for mostly pasta dishes and when mixed with some prosciutto bits, the flavor is great. The shipper ships what is advertised and is very efficient.

I've been buying Buffalo Bills brand of jerky for over a year now. I wish I had known about them before - their products are always fresh and full of flavor; and their shipping is always, always on time. I read about teas often, and have learned, that any teas that are rolled into little pearls, is always of a finer grade.This tea is rolled into the pearls.It is important to know, that the pearls must be given room to open into their leaves, so take care not to put too much into your tea bell/infuser.I use a strainer instead.This tea is meant for multiple infusions, thereby making it cost effective as well as delicious.I highly recommend this tea.It also arrived immediately.

Review of 50's Retro Candy Decade Birthday Gift Box - Nostalgic Candy: 1953

When I bought this product I was concerned that it contained just a few candy items. Not the case! The amount you see in the image is probably not even a good representation of what you're getting. Although some of your favorites might be missing, it's a good walk down memory lane.

The husband of the receiver of this gift liked it so much he was going to buy another later in the year for his sister. It was a definite hit, and they're still eating the candy.
