This is the best. Very mellow and full bodied. It's outstanding with good quality extra virgin olive oil for a dipping for bread. It's also good drizzled on roasted baby potatoes. A little goes a long way. Keep your finger over the top when you drizzle, so you don't accidentally pour too much out.

Review of Tequila Lime Vinegar 6.5 Oz

the flavor of this vinegar is fantastic. It's sharp and sweet and tangy and very very delicious. I've poured it on salads, used it in marinades, sipped it out of a teaspoon, sprinkled it on rice...really, it's just wonderful. I don't know about Amazon's price, I bought it on clearance at T J Maxx. However, the large bottle of this is a GREAT price and I'm going to order it when I run out of this. I also bought their cherry vinegar, which I didn't like nearly as well.

Review of Mango Ginger Habanero Sauce

I actually sampled the Fischer & Wieser Mango Ginger Habanero Sauce, 21-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 6) but the contents are exactly the same, only the bottle size is different.

The Mango puree is the main ingredient in the Habanero sauce, followed closely by Honey - so think REAL SWEET. And apple sauce, ginger, some vinegar, sugar, spices and, of course, Habanero peppers. No preservatives whatsoever.

I don't know why, I expected a super-hot mixture, something likely to burn a hole in my stomach if swallowed but, as it happens to be the case with the other Fischer & Wieser sauce I sampled, the Fischer & Wieser Razzpotle Roasted Raspberry Chipotle Sauce, 20-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 6), this one too is a well-balanced - it means NOT HOT - concoction that discretely but effectively enhances the taste of whatever it may be added to. My uses so far, and the Habanero met and exceeded expectations: an Egyptian omelette (don't ask how or why), lamb chops, salmon.

When used as directed, the Habanero sauce will tilt any dinner toward the mysterious, the flavorful, the exotic.

P.S. - it's a 5-star ONLY if you don't mind 'sweet' in a hot sauce.

Having become increasingly lactose intolerant, I've been weeding out the last of the cowmilk products from my diet. I expected this might be something that takes getting used to, but boy was I wrong. It is creamy and delicious -- at one bite I discovered I prefer it to regular butter any day of the week. This is the same panforte that I purchased while in Siena, and it tastes just as wonderful! And ignore the paper on the back. It's just rice paper. You're supposed to eat it. The Panforte Marghertia is the more authentic panforte, but I prefer this because of the spices. Great panforte.

These are great hard candies.Kind of peanut shaped, they taste like root beer on the dark side and ice cream on the white side. The taste is just like a root beer float. These are fun. They have a nostalgic feel. They last a long time just like old fashioned candy should. My fiancee loved chicken and stars soup when she felt under the weather, and was disappointed when she couldn't have that anymore due to her gluten allergy diagnosis. She was really excited when I found this and made up some home-made stars soup for her. I mixed this with their Rice equivalent for some color contrast too. Good stuff!

Kona coffee is world reknowned as being some of the best in the world, and I can speak with experience knowing that this domestic blend compares favorably with some of the best.

However, I only ask those in Hawaii who farm and roast these beans to forgive me for saying that I think Konas are a bit overrated in the world of coffee.

Yes, these beans have a lot of flavor.The body is unrivalled.Everything is balanced in a way that is unique to the Kona bean, but there are no subtle undertones prevalent that make me like the Sumatran and Ethiopian beans so much better.The beans are aesthetically perfect in every way, and I only have to use about 2/3 the portion of what I would use to make my favorite brews, but this is where it gets touchy for me.I pay about $12-13 a lb for coffee that might not be better than Kona coffee, but I like it better.Hawaii Growers makes a mighty fine coffee, one of the best Konas I've ever tasted, but it isn't worth more than $25 a lb.No coffee is worth that to me, and I've tasted the world's finest.

Hawaii Growers is very competitively priced compared to other Konas, so if Kona coffee is the drinker's coffee of choice, then Hawaii Growers is a great choice.For someone who prefers coffee from other regions, Kona still stacks up well, but a purchase for me was to simply try something new rather than to look for a new regular.

Yuzu is a Japanese citrus fruit, eaten during the winter, sometimes translated as "citron."It has a very unique and luxurious taste.I have one cookbook that attempts to replicate the flavor by combining grapefruit, lemon and lime juice, but it just doesn't work.

I got addicted to cooking with yuzu when I lived in Japan, as it adds a special touch to many dishes.The juice isn't used as often as the aromatic peel, but even just splashing some of grilled fish adds a really nice layer.

The fruit is ubiquitous and cheap in Japan, costing no more than lemons and considerably less than limes.There are some growers in California, but the fruit is still too obscure to show up even at specialty grocery stores.Because of that, even this small bottle of juice is going to cost quite a bit of cash.I have seen it sell for somewhat cheaper at local Asian specialty stores, but if this is your only access to the product at least it is available!

You can get the yuzu flavor in the peppery pesto-like Yuzu Kosho, which is a must in my kitchen.The yuzu flavored soy-sauce ponzu is also available for less than the pure juice. (Although check the label. Sometimes ponzu is flavored with another Japanese fruit, sudachi, rather than yuzu.)

But be careful.Once you go yuzu, you won't be going back.

I had read so many recommendations for Peter Pan Whipped PB on the Weight Watcher's site that I had to try some.It is very tasty and lives up to the hype.The PB is smooth and light and needs to be stirred a bit before spreading.The PB spreads on bread smoother than other low fat brands so you don't need to use as much. I love this sauce. My favorite use is over grilled salmon. Try this: bed of greens (arugula or spinach are good), 1-1/2 oz feta cheese, about 1/2 c FRESH pineapple (can throw in some raspberries in-season), 8 roasted almonds, juice of half a lime and about 2 t good olive oil. Top with the grilled salmon (about 6 oz piece)which has been doused with a couple of tablespoons of the raspberry-chipotle sauce. Yum...about 14 points on the WW system but very low fat, high nutrition, lots of volume and tastes GREAT.
