I've been using Adagio Teas for several years.I love the 1812 Gunpowder Tea and have it sent repeatedly,I've also bought tons of their Berry Teas for the college kids.They love it and its a great pick-me-up.Because of the stress at college many of them use the Chamomile or Peppermint tea for their tummies.
The people with Adagio are very helpful.And all their teas are excellent and reasonably priced.

Review of Kombucha Wonder Drink, Himalayan Blend

I buy it by the case at health store in Hudson, MA. and I've asked Trader Joe's to carry it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. This stuff is really good. It has a heady taste in the mouth like wine and it opens up my cells, but it's not an alcoholic high because there's no alcohol in it. It just does....something good! My first Kombucha drink, I poured down the drain. This one is the best.

I do copywriting for an advertising firm, so I'm used to being able to see past the breezy, flowery rhetoric that oftentimes is associated with a product. And I'm also pretty good at stripping away that rhetoric when recommending a product. But this isn't rhetoric. Adagio makes the best teas I've ever found. When you first open a tin of Adagio tea, the aroma tells you that you've found an excellent brand, and after the first few sips you've made up your mind that you're an Adagio person from now on.

I used to by my bertoli or similar extra virgin olive oil at my local stores - then from watching Mario Batali on the food network I got curious to how different the more expensive oils could be, Mario always said that "if they dont let you taste it before you buy it, go somewhere else" - that is not an option where I live, there are no stores like that around here, I would have to drive an hour and a half. Review of Ghirardelli Chocolate 100% Cacao Unsweetened Chocolate Baking Chips, 10 oz.

I originally purchased these unsweetened baking chips for recipes that use stevia as a sweetener. I ended up using them in a recipe that called for four ounces of unsweetened chocolate and they were much easier to weigh than regular baking chocolate. With the chips there is no need to chop chocolate from a block. You simply weigh the chips and you are done with the job. While it is true that they taste terrible on their own they work very well in recipes that call for unsweetened chocolate. I used them in a recipe from PICNIC: 125 Recipes with 29 Seasonal Menus and made a delicious chocolate zucchini cake. Since I can't find these chips in my local grocery store I was happy to find them here at amazon. I'd list the ingredients but all the packet says is "unsweetened chocolate."

Iodine is a huge concern - getting enough of it is paramount, and iodized salt is the main source. I have been found medically short of iodine twice. I like sea salt, but the iodized coarse variety is rare as hen's teeth to find.One can find fine grind iodized salt in any health food store. I asked Whole Foods to order it for me TWICE and they couldn't find a supplier. This vendor is excellent and bends over backward. The non-iodized was shipped to me, and they immediately re-sent the correct product at their own expense.

Review of Noir Absolut Ebony Unsweetened Chocolate - 5 kg

I recently purchased some unsweetened Belcolade chocolate in place of the usual Callebaut that I order. I love Callebaut, but it is very difficult to cut due to the thickness of the giant bars. The chipped version available through some vendors is an inferior product. Thus, I tried Belcolade. It is much darker than Callebaut and has a more earthy flavor characteristic of "Dutching." However, it is better and more complex than other dutched chocolates like Lindt. I would rate it as high as Callebaut and Valrhona and certainly better than Ghirardelli and the expensive Sharffenberger. Best of all, The Belcolade is delivered in small wafers and required no cutting, just measuring in a cup. It saves me a great deal of time and mess. Also, the price is right and less than virtually every other ultra premium brand.

These anchovies are something else. The fillets are fleshy, not dried up in salt like most of the anchovies I have eaten before. The consistency of the meat is preserved very well. While most anchovies are salty with the characteristic, wonderful ... stink, these anchovies are also flavorful in addition to being only stinky. I am not sure how this is done - perhaps by shortening the time the fish is cured in salt?
The price is unjustifiably high though - one can get 2 lbs of Moroccan anchovies for the same price.
Nevertheless, these are (from far) the best anchovies I tried.

Review of Milk Chocolate Covered Potato Chips 1 lb

I received these from my spouse because I probably would never have bought them myself. Honestly, I was not very excited to try these. I mean, it's candy. Not only is it candy, it's milk chocolate, and candy (especially milk chocolate) should be sweet.

However, these chips bring together that perfect balance of savory versus sweet. Like chocolate covered pretzels, but better because they're potato chips! The little ridges help with the texture, I think that was key, or perhaps I am just biased towards ridged potato chips.

This plays out as a balance between flavors and textures. Sweet vs salty. Crunchy versus smooth. These chips are fantastic. It's one of those things that your mind says no, but after thinking about it, realize that it was in fact, a great idea.

Do yourselves a favor and don't buy anything but De Cecco pasta, any of the varieties....if you can find the brand.

The linguini is a favorite of my family and friends.It's wonderful with just garlic and extra virgin olive oil or used with your favorite purchased or homemade clam sauce...or any sauce for that matter.

Cooked to the directions on the box, one of the best things about De Cecco pasta is that the leftovers warm up such that you can hardly tell it wasn't cooked fresh.

The Previous reviews sums up the quality taste of this product.I found this product almost 20 years ago at a diner in Pismo Beach.At the time the Pepper Plant was a local (Atascadero) mom & pop operation and couldn't be found south of Santa Barbara or north of San Luis Obispo.I was living an hour north of San Francisco and was fortunate enough to purchase the sauce at the diner,I purchased 4 bottles and hit that diner about every 6 months for years.The company was purchased by a larger gourmet foods manufacturer in Gilroy and didn't change a thing.If anything it was a benefit for the product as it is now in the heart of where the ingredients are grown.I was able to get my local Whole Foods to carry Pepper Plant and another store across town.I have noticed that people are discovering the fantastic flavor of a California original and hope more people discover the best pepper sauce in the west.The bar-b-que sauce is excellent too. Review of Mom's Original Garlic and Basil Spaghetti Sauce

I happened up on this at my local natural grocery store and it spoiled me for any other sauce! This is the BEST JARRED sauce I have found - better than Rao's, and better than Francis Ford Coppola's brand (my two previous faves). This tastes FRESH from the garden and can be used for so much more than a pasta sauce. I use it for grilled vegetables, ratatouille, cous cous, soups, mediterranean bean dishes, and imitation meat products. The flavors will blow you over. This is truly exceptional.I can't believe it sells for $5.95 in Florida (based on the other reviews). Here in California, we get to pay $10 a jar, but it's worth it. Highly recommended!!!

For whatever reason, the grocery stores where I live have suddenly stopped carrying this mustard.I thought French's might have discontinued it again, but I found it was still available online.

Now there's devotion to a mustard for you.I bought 5 bottles online!

I never have cared for regular mustard, which has too sharp a taste, even a little sour or vinegary.My mother knew this mustard growing up, but it disappeared from shelves for many years.When I was a kid, it reappeared in one grocery store in our town; we'd make a special trip just to go get it.That's when it was known as "onion bit mustard" (I still miss the real bits of onions; I guess they don't squeeze out of a plastic bottle).

This mustard does not have a sharp, tangy bite to it like regular yellow mustard.It is, obviously, sweeter and more mild.It's the only mustard I ever use for hot dogs, hamburgers and sandwiches.When I was living in Ireland for a summer, I made my mother mail me a bottle so I could have it with my hot dogs!
